D&D Club

Welcome to the Dungeons and Dragons homepage. Here you will find information on character creation, being a dungeon master, and advice on creating your own campaign.

Campaigns can be done on a table or by using an online tabletop simulator. The one linked below is a great one (and free!) to setup and run campaigns.

Character Creation

The first thing needed is the character sheet below, all 3 pages are needed to fully flesh out your character.

The document below is a brief summary on character creation to help choose your class, race, background and provide some information on the abilities each class uses the most.

Character Creation Summary

The first step is choosing your race. The files below provide more detailed information on the races. There are also alternate races that are not found in the players guide. They are listed on the right and can provide interesting choices  and provide a wider scope for character creation

The next step is to choose a class. The files below provide more detailed information on the classes.

The next choice is to design the personality and background of your character. This is where your creativity comes into play with the role playing aspect of the game.

Once you decided on your characters race, class and personality you can select their equipment. Most classes and background have a standard starting equipment which you can use and some give you a choice in your starting equipment from weapons to armour. The files below give you information on the items you can choose and their properties.

For advanced players there are other customisation options that you can undertake such as multi-classing and Feats. They are found in the files below.

Advanced Customisation

Some classes can use spells and cantrips. Spells are divided by their class and your character level will decide how many slots of a certain class you have. The files below list the spells each class can use and also more detailed information on each one.

The files below are miscellaneous information to further flesh out your character such as the gods of the multiverse.

Playing the game

In a game you are either the Dungeon Master (DM) who leads the game and gives flow to the story, or a player who drives the story with their actions. The files below provide some information on various aspects of the game such as ability checks and some basics of combat.

As the DM you will be responsible for running the game. This includes ensuring all players follow the rules, coordinating the combat and providing the framework for the story. The files below will help you learn to be an effective DM for a campaign.

For a veteran DM you can use inspirations from the files below to enhance your campaign.

As the DM you will be the one who controls the enemies that the party faces. As such you will need to know the different types of enemies as well as their combat abilities. The files below give you an overview of the monsters as well as more detailed information on each one. There are two guides, the Monster Guide and Volo's guide to monsters. For Volo's use the Monster Index to find the page number of a monster, then click the appropriate page range.

Misc Information

The files below give further information and could provide inspiration for campaigns involving the monsters they are about.
